Web Design — For Those Who Make Things That Matter
Crazy Artisan is a web design studio built on conviction. We are artists, craftsmen, and makers ourselves — and we build digital homes exclusively for those who share that obsession with the genuine and the handmade.

Daniel Burykin grew up in the USSR, one of nine kids in a family where if you needed something, you built it. His father made things with his hands as a matter of course — not as a hobby, but as a way of life. That stayed with Daniel long after the family moved to America when he was twelve.
He never lost the habit. Custom audio. Photography. Woodworking. Cars. Art. Music. Not as interests — as obsessions, each one understood from the inside out, taken apart and reassembled until it made sense. That is the only way he knows how to learn anything.
"If you didn't make it, it's not yours."
— Tim "The Toolman" Taylor
It's a joke, but it isn't. That line has been Daniel's operating philosophy for as long as he can remember — and it's the lens through which Crazy Artisan approaches every project. We work with makers because we are makers. We understand your world because we live in it. That is what we bring to your website: not a template, not a trend — but someone who genuinely gets what you do and why it matters.
Daniel's fine art photography is exhibited at Daniel Burykin Fine Art Photography. The same standard that governs that work governs this studio.
If we cannot stand behind your work — if we wouldn't recommend it to someone we love — we will respectfully decline. This is not arrogance. It is the only way we know how to do good work.
We do not use artificial intelligence in our creative work, and we will not build websites for businesses that use AI to replace human artistry. The hand, the eye, the judgment honed over years — these are not inefficiencies to be automated. They are the whole point.
We take very few clients at a time. This is deliberate. A website built with genuine care and deep understanding of the work it represents will always outperform one built quickly for a brief. We are not in a hurry. Your work deserves better than that.
"The internet is full of things that look like everything else. We are interested in the exception — the website that makes a stranger stop and feel something real."
— The Crazy Artisan Manifesto
We do not have a general client list. We have a short, specific one — and we intend to keep it that way. If your discipline requires mastery, your output can be held in your hands, and you have spent years becoming exceptional at what you do, we want to hear from you.
Our first language. Daniel's own gallery at burykin.art is the measure we hold ourselves to. Galleries, limited-edition print portfolios, exhibition announcements — we understand what a photograph means to the person who made it.
Whether you work in oil, ceramics, sculpture, or textile — if your practice is serious and your relationship with your medium runs deep, your website should reflect that depth. Not a brochure. A presence.
Furniture built to last generations deserves a website built with the same intention. We know wood grain and joinery. We understand what it means to spend three weeks on a single piece. Your clients will, too.
Bespoke amplifiers, handwound transformers, statement loudspeakers. The people who build serious audio equipment occupy a rare world — obsessive, technical, beautiful. We speak that language.
Coachbuilt restorations, ground-up builds, one-of-one commissions. If a car is the result of thousands of hours of human skill and vision, the story deserves to be told properly. We know how to tell it.
Knife making. Watchmaking. Bookbinding. Bespoke tailoring. If it is made by hand, made with mastery, and made to endure — reach out. We are genuinely curious about what extraordinary things people do quietly.
We have a single automatic disqualifier: if your business relies on artificial intelligence to generate creative work — copy, imagery, design, or anything presented as the product of human skill — we are not the right studio for you. This is not a judgment. It is simply the one line we do not cross. The rest of our decisions are made case by case, with genuine care and honesty.
We respond to everyone who reaches out, even if it is to say we are not the right fit. Time is short. Be direct. Tell us what you make.
